The Basement

The Basement is a play by K.W. Miller and Shari Doran about the Local 47 musician union. It is set in 1969 and deals with the changing times and technology, and how those changes affected musicians trying to get gigs. Sam played Sammy Fletcher, a legendary and charismatic sax player who is the leader of the union. The Basement had its world premiere July 5, 2003 at the Theatre Shed in Studio City, CA.
